Health & Safety Coordinator - Social Housing Repairs & Maintenance
Midlands & North West
Permanent - up to £40k plus car/allowance
Here at Howells we are working with a nationwide Social Housing maintenance and refurbishment contractor to recruit a Health & Safety Coordinator to join their team covering the Midlands and North West regions.
For this role, we are looking for somebody who can be developed into a Health & Safety Advisor position, focusing on supporting the operational teams through mentoring, coaching, training and advising to improve SHE performance, innovation, and promotionof positive SHE messages.
You will be required to carry out Talk box talks and site inspections, not just to review what is happening at the time of the inspection, but also consider future works and SHE issues to be resolved and improved upon, as well ascarrying out audits.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- 3 years experience
- NEBOSH & IOSH
- Construction / FM / Housing experience
- IEMA Environmental Management Certification
- Communication, coaching & negotiation skills
- Experience within construction / refurbishment sector
- IT Skills
- Management of Asbestos in Buildings
