    Description

    We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Contracts Manager with demonstrated experience in Responsive Repairs/Planned Works/Disrepair works/Damp & Mould Works within the social housing sector.

    The ideal candidate is someone with robust commercial understanding, strong business acumen and great people management skills, who can enable Chigwell Constructions ambitious growth plans.

    Managing several projects across a wide range of contracts, you must have team management experience and a minimum of two years of continuous service in a similar role.

    With proven results in the successful delivery of Social Housing Contracts.

    Your main drive will be to exceed clients' expectations and successfully lead the team you must be a natural collaborator, using diplomacy to influence key stakeholders.

    A strong understanding of Nat Fed SORs is a must.

    Main Objectives of the role:

    • Manage and oversee responsive repairs/Disrepair/planned work projects within the social housing sector, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards
    • Implement effective contract management practices to mitigate risks, ensure projects' success and take ownership of contract negotiations
    • Work closely with housing associations, local councils and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and client expectations
    • Build positive relationships with clients and ensure clear communication throughout the project lifecycle
    • Develop and manage projects' budget, ensuring financial objectives are met while maintaining high-quality standards
    • Identify cost optimisation opportunities to contribute to overall project profitability
    • Implement and oversee quality compliance processes to ensure that planned maintenance works meet industry standards and client specifications
    • Collaborate with project teams and contractors to uphold quality benchmarks
    • Lead, mentor and motivate project teams to achieve excellence in performance
    • Cultivate a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement
    Do you have what it takes?

    • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in social housing, with a focus on planned works or planned maintenance and repair works
    • Familiarity with the unique challenges and requirements of working with housing associations and local councils
    • Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing contractual agreements
    • Demonstrated success in delivering planned maintenance projects on time and within budget
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
    • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities to address project challenges
    • Flexibility to travel and work at multiple locations, on different projects
