    At Currie & Brown, we're in search of an exceptional Director and Office Lead to spearhead our Birmingham office. Are you ready to meet the challenge?

    The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Senior Director to uphold an exceptional level of service delivery, ensuring successful outcomes for both our clients and team members. They will play a pivotal role in capturing and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as preferred service provider.

    Your core duties will involve:

  • Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships
  • Full P&L responsibility within the given workstream, requiring the need to monitor and control financial performance
  • Financial management of all assigned projects, ensuring budgetary compliance, management of debt and WIP
  • Supports the Senior Director in the annual budgeting process for the sector and provides financial forecasts monthly
  • Works in a collaborative way with other Directors to share best practice, service delivery, knowledge and resources
  • Ensures regular audits and peer reviews are undertaken
  • Monitor sub-contractors performance to ensure standard and technical specifications are achieved and aligned with contractual agreements, identifying remedial actions and process changes
  • Develops a resource strategy for all direct projects, identifying a pipeline of talent for projected work, and a training and development strategy to maximise the capability of current staff
  • Has a clear succession strategy
  • Shows excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
  • Responsible for identifying business expansion opportunities ensuring that they meet the required financial targets and returns.
  • Operates as a team player at Office, Regional and Group level & leads others in a way which champions best practice and embraces the company values What skills and attributes are we looking for from you:
  • BSc in related degree
  • Membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)
  • Technical delivery experience from within the construction industry, ideally consultancy
  • Previous operational, financial, full P&L responsibility experience within a global consultancy
  • Good technical writing, client-facing and communication skills
  • Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute
  • A team player with a 'can do' attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible
