    Being an Ancillary Technician, you'll play an essential role in providing support in order to maintain the supply of clean water to our customers through maintenance of our underground assets. You will also provide specialist pressure management services by maintaining underground pressure controlling assets and sustain a commitment to providing excellent service to customers by responding and resolving any issue raised by a customer or member of the public at the point of contact. The role will involve liaison with other departments and working with our Contract Partners. This makes the significance of the work you'll do an Ancillary Technician such an exciting project to be a part of.

    As an Ancillary Technician you'll also have significant experience or training in a similar utility-based industry, problem solving environment where repairs are carried out and also be computer literate.

    WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE

    Your key accountabilities in helping us will be:

  • You will proactively seek to understand root cause of DMA's with high impact on water distribution network performance, through detailed investigations and identify solutions for long term improvement.
  • You will work collaborative with internal departments to ensure solutions are delivered affectively. ( Demand techs, Water Network Technicians & Network Optimisation).
  • You will carry out a wide variety of tasks on the distribution network. Work for the technician is scheduled centrally and self-promoted through continuous investigations.
  • You will have the responsibility of delivering the work schedule in accordance with the company's service level agreements or customer service standards. And be accountable for your own health and safety along with the health and safety of your colleagues and anyone that is affected by the work you do. This could be general public or customers.
  • You will carry out distribution operational activities, servicing and maintaining pressure control valves on the water distribution network.
