Data Engineer - Insurance
This is an exciting opportunity to join a global organisation within the London Insurance Market.

Hybrid working - 3 days pw in their City of London office

As a Data Engineer, you will have experience of building large scale, cloud-based distributed data systems.

Use tools, strategies, algorithms and programming languages

Data Engineer experience required:

Experience in a data engineering or science role
Proficient in SQL and advanced data manipulation techniques
Data processing in Amazon, Azure or Google Cloud platforms
Knowledge of commercial distribution ie Hortonworks, Cloudera, Databricks etc a must
Parallel distributed systems such as Hadoop and Spark
Experience in high volume database technologies
Large data systems performance tuning concepts
Programming languages ie Python, Scala
GIT
JVM Technologies
Opensource search platforms
