Reporting to the Technical Manager, the EC&I Lead Engineer is responsible for Maintenance and Engineering standards across Electrical and Instrumentation technologies deployed on the Widnes manufacturing site. The role covers responsibilities like defining inspection, maintenance, and asset management strategies for HV & LV Electrical distribution, Process Instrumentation, Lighting, Earthing, Lightning Protection, and infrastructure systems to enhance reliability, compliance, and safety performance. Collaborating with various partners is essential to achieve corporate targets. Working closely with Maintenance Planners and Supervisors to ensure effective maintenance plans and handling projects within budgeted performance are key aspects.
The ideal candidate:
You will be an experienced Engineer with recognized Electrical Engineering qualifications. Relevant experience and good people skills are necessary, with a positive attitude and a commitment to self and others' development. Previous upper tier COMAH knowledge is advantageous. Knowledge of UK legislative framework & technical standards is required. Experience in maintaining electrical systems, Risk Assessment, permit to work processes, and familiarity with IEC60079, DSEAR/ATEX 137 directive are essential. Experience with MS Office, CMMS, and SAP S4-Hanna Asset Management is beneficial.
