    Recoded Recruitment is delighted to be partnering exclusively with Boon, an exciting and funded psychological AI start-up. For the next stage in Boon's growth, we are looking for a talented Engineering Lead to join the team.

    What we are looking forIn a Nutshell:

    We are looking for an Engineering Lead to join our 15-month-old, rapidly growing,

    psychological AI startup to build B2B analytics and data products that tackle complex

    questions about human behaviour, and in doing so, tackle some of the most challenging

    issues of our time. You will be working closely and collaboratively with our Lead Data

    Scientist, Lead Front-End Developer, and Lead Behavioural Scientist.

    Once You Are Here, You Will:


    • Design and implement the architecture of data solutions for the company using

    multiple platforms


    • Enable the design, creation, management, and business use of large data sets


    • Effectively communicate amongst software developers, data scientists, and

    behavioural scientists to determine how best to design the data warehouse for

    productionising data models and facilitating a seamless user-experience in the

    platform


    • Develop and tune SQL to provide optimised solutions to the business


    • Design and implement scalable ETL processes in the data platform to support the

    rapidly growing and dynamic business demand for data, and use it to deliver the data

    as service

    Relevant Experience & Mindset:


    • 5+ years as a Data Engineer or ML/Dev ops


    • Bachelors in computer science, mathematics, engineering or related field


    • Proven experience constructing data pipelines for B2B products


    • Fluency in Python and SQL; experience with Java, Scala, or NodeJS


    • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines


    • Experience in tuning performance in big data / distributed systems


    • Experience with GCP


    • (Desirable) Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full

    software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures,

    code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and

    operational excellence


    • (Desirable) Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage,

    document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)


    • Experience with big data technologies such as: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR, Snowflake,

    and Data Mesh principles
