    Service Engineer – Scientific Instrumentation – Andover – IM3356a

    Salary / benefits: c£35k, depend on experience.

    Job Term: Permanent, Full Time, Onsite and Field

    Job Outline:

    A leading developer of Scientific Instrumentation now requires a Service Engineer to join their growing Team in Andover.

    The Service Engineer will install and support equipment at customer sites, around the world. Working at customer sites will require you travel internationally and stay away from home.

    When not visiting customers sites, you will support to existing customers on-line and via phone. This will include managing the support inbox and responding to incoming issues.

    Working closely with the Marketing and Sales Teams you will schedule installation and service visits.

    As you become the product expert, you will also develop training materials such as written manuals, video and PowerPoint guides for use both within the teams and with distributors or customers.

    Working with Technical / New Product Teams you will support the development, testing and qualification of Instrumentation.

    Experience and Qualifications:

    You should be Educated in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Robotics, Physics or a similar discipline.

    With at least 1 years experience in a service role (on-site or field), you should have gained an understanding of the basic operations of complex electro-mechanical systems.

    Ideally you will be able to install software, drivers, firmware, etc.

    You should also have the ability to troubleshoot and fix electro-mechanical systems.

    Additional Information:

    Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK. Copies of Passports and Visas will be requested for verification.

    Candidates MUST hold a full clean driving licence.

    It is essential that you are able to travel and stay away from home regularly to provide support on customer sites.
