Our client a leader in the engineering and environmental consultancy industry, currently looking for a Senior Temporary Works Design Engineer to join their growing team.

Having recently been acquired into a larger portfolio of businesses and with their expanding project portfolio means you'll play a critical role in a range of exciting projects, largely within the process, manufacturing & energy industries.

The role will not be limited to temporary works, but it will also involve extensive involvement in the design and assessment of process related structures, primarily in a high hazard environment.

With roots stemming from projects in Chemicals, Industrial Manufacturing and Onshore Renewables.

The successful candidate will:

Have experience in preparing complex temporary works designs for groundworks, formwork & falsework and/or propping and jacking scheme
Check medium to high complexity drawings and design in accordance with relevant standards
Review design briefs provided by the engineering team and provide advice on the appropriate temporary works methodologies
Have 6 to 7 years of experience in temporary works design
Have the ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
Be a chartered engineer (or working towards it)
Be able to attend site meetings where required and have a full driving licence.
Ideally have some demolition experience
Responsibilities include but not limited to;

Excavation design assessments/checks
Scaffold design checks
Edge protection designs/checks
Crane/Piling platform designs
Access road design and assessment
Site accommodation foundation design
Traditional/Proprietary Formwork designs/checks
Design of steel and concrete structures/connections
Propping and Needle designs
Vibration assessments
Bridge assessments
Permanent design checks
Gabion basket walls
