Description
WS Transportation are looking for a Transport Administrator to join our team in Runcorn.

It will be your responsibility to ensure an effective and efficient transport function; this will fulfil the requirements of all customers and will do so in a cost-effective manner, ensuring that all administrative processes are complete accurately.

They will also support other departments within the business to offer administrative help.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Administrative support to the Customer Service Manager
  • Follow transport office administration procedures at all times
  • Keep Line Manager informed of any irregularities
  • Ensure that all transport queries are handled in an efficient and consistent manner, in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Undertake routing of local delivery fleet
  • Liaise with customers, driver and other departments
  • Supporting the wider team
  • Filing, Photocopying, Scanning
  • To ensure service level agreements are maintained
  • To ensure that all activities are undertaken in accordance with current legislation, Company policies and procedures and best practice.
  • Provide support to the Transport Front Desk, Compliance Admin and Customer Service Team as required

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:


  • Proficient working knowledge of MS Office Word/Excel/Outlook
  • Demonstrate proven administrative experience
  • Experience of working within a transport office environment
  • Good local and national geographical knowledge
  • Experience of routing desirable but not essential
  • Organised with a methodical approach to tasks
  • Ability to consistently follow set company procedures
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Effective communicator oral and written
  • The ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines
  • Able to work from own initiative and also as part of a team
  • Motivated, Proactive and reliable
