    Description

    The primary role is to supervise and oversee a team of field service engineers to ensure safety, quality and commercial success.

    Carrying out service, maintenance and troubleshooting activities at customer sites, the supervisor is expected to be able to solve complex problems, both mechanical and process based.

    The supervisor will be able to identify potential improvements, which can be converted by the HOERBIGER technical managers and product specialists into proposals with added-value for the customer.

  • Lead the on-site service team, sub-contractors and other parties in the undertaking of overhaul and repair work in a safe manner
  • Ensure Health & Safety requirements are met, and promote a positive H&S environment throughout work
  • Responsible for performance of Field Service technicians on site, monitor and enforce scope of work as well as manage customer expectations
  • Review projects and assist in the definition and qualification of work scopes with sales and customers.
  • Undertake site visits to establish work scope, spares and tooling requirements, to enable accurate quotations to be submitted
  • Obtain inspection sign-off, customer sign-off, and monitor final reporting, QA.
  • During and after a site intervention, collate dimensional reports and service reports for issuance to office
  • Support in the preparation and planning of service activities
  • Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with maintenance of rotating equipment, with 2 years Supervisor experience.
  • HNC in engineering discipline or equivalent vocational qualification.
  • Must have strong technical ability on mechanical systems
  • Reciprocating compressor experience preferred
  • Experience working in Oil and Gas or other heavily regulated industry.
  • Able to interact and develop relationships within a small team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent in use of MS-Office products, especially Word and Excel
  • Safety Qualification
  • Ability to work on a flexible work schedule
  • Willingness to be on call and respond at short notice
  • Dynamic and passionate with a strong teamwork mentality
  • Full clean UK driving license
  • Travel 70-80%.
