- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE management systems, policies, and procedures in compliance with UK legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Conduct and oversee risk assessments, hazard identification, and incident investigations to proactively identify and mitigate health, safety, and environmental risks within the workplace.
- Collate and review site data on hazard & near misses
- Liaise with various local authority representatives as and when required
- Advise across all brands on any potential dangerous occurrences i.e. weather / local or national issues
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene regulations, including Food Safety Act, Food Hygiene Regulations, and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles.
- Oversee the implementation of food safety management systems, including hygiene practices, sanitation procedures, and food handling protocols, to prevent foodborne illnesses and ensure product safety.
- Ensure regular inspections and audits of food handling areas, facilities, and equipment to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with food safety standards take place.
- Develop and deliver HSE and food hygiene training programs for employees, supervisors, and managers to increase awareness, knowledge, and competency in safety and compliance matters.
- Provide coaching and support to ensure understanding and adherence to HSE and food hygiene policies, procedures, and regulations throughout the organization.
- Keep abreast of changes in HSE and food hygiene legislation, standards, and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, contractors, and community groups, to promote HSE and food hygiene excellence and foster a positive reputation for the organization.
- Professional certification in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) and food hygiene (e.g., Level 3 Food Safety).
- Proven experience in HSE management, with specific knowledge of UK legislation and regulations.
- Experience in food hygiene management, including HACCP principles and food safety management systems.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies, incident investigation techniques, and safety management tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HSE management software.
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, food science, or related field – Desirable

About the Role...
As the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager with Food Hygiene Responsibilities, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with UK legislation and industry standards related to health, safety, environment, and food hygiene within our organization. Reporting to the senior management team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive HSE management systems to protect the well-being of our employees, customers, and the environment. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with expertise in HSE management, food hygiene regulations, and a commitment to promoting a culture of safety and compliance across all levels of the organization.
You will be required to ensure H&S Risk Assessments have been completed across the company estate, offer H&S support and advice to all brands. Complete Accident / Incident Investigation and reporting and provide Staff Training across all brands and reviewing and producing H&S documentation.
