- Progression towards a CCAB professional accountancy qualification or AAT qualified.
- Evidence of continued professional development and seeking opportunities to enhance skills.
- Full CCAB accountancy qualification
- Competent financial experience including experience in key elements of accountabilities: - final accounts, financial systems, audit requirements and accounting policies and procedures.
- Experience of developing financial reporting systems and monitoring of financial performance.
- Experience of maintaining a ledger and preparing figures for the annual accounts including completion of complex and detailed working papers.
- Experience of performing complex financial reconciliations.
- Experience using and interrogating accounting ledger systems and working with a Shared Business Service provider. Must be able to investigate, analyse, interpret and resolve financial queries
- Computer literate with experience in using Microsoft Office.
- Experience of working with an asset register system
- Experience of the annual accounts process
- Excel user with experience in using advanced functionality
- Ability to complete closure of monthly and annual accounts within specified timeframes
- Financial Project Appraisal including projection of future cash-flows and costs
- Ability to communicate complex finance information with non-finance staff. Clear and accurate written and verbal communication. This will cover a range of people and a range of situations. Good listening, questioning and clarification skills will be required
- Financial experience, resulting in specialist knowledge and detailed understanding of capital accounting
- Management and development of financial systems
- Knowledge and experience in implementing audit recommendations within agreed timescales.
