University College London NHS Foundation Trust has a statutory obligation to establish whether people using their services are normally resident in the UK.

This duty extends to charging those patients who are found not to be eligible for free NHS treatment and who are not otherwise exempt or covered by a Healthcare Agreement or have paid the Immigration Health Surcharge


We are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our busy Overseas Visitors Team as Overseas and Eligibility Officer.


The Overseas and eligibility officer is responsible for the identification of patients who are not entitled to NHS treatment and therefore are categorised as Overseas Visitors.

The role of the Overseas and Eligibility officer is responsible for conducting the stage one and stage two interviews in accordance with the Department of Health & Social Care guidelines and to establish whether or not patients are entitled to free NHS treatment.

The post holder will refer any complex cases where patients fall out of routine assessments to the Senior Overseas and Eligibility Officer.
