• Lead Battery Concept Development: Creation and evaluation of advanced battery concepts, ensuring they meet high standards of technical feasibility, including material selection, manufacturing techniques, and performance metrics.
• Advanced CAD modeling of battery concept components to battery packs
• Initiate and guide collaboration with other departments and teams to align on technical solutions and strategies.
• Technical drawings: generate and review detailed technical drawings and schematics for battery systems
• Conduct analysis, including simulations and modeling, to evaluate performance, safety, and cost targets.
• Identify technical risks and challenges with battery concepts and propose robust mitigation strategies.
• Document and critically evaluate the results of feasibility studies, including test data, analysis reports, and recommendations for further development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, BSE engineering, and manufacturing.
• Provide feedback and insights to enhance the feasibility assessment process and drive continuous improvement in battery concept development.
• Stay up to date with battery system technology and strive for knowledge increase

Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance and support to engineering teams involved in concept development
• Contribute and manage feasibility study projects, including defining objectives, timelines, and resource requirements
• Communicate the results of feasibility studies to stakeholders ensuring clarity and alignment with business goals
• Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with battery concepts
• Champion the identification and protection of intellectual property for innovative battery concepts
• Take full ownership of system or battery pack design
• Directly or indirectly leading team members to meet quality, cost, timing, and performance objectives
  
  

Requirements:

• Knowledge of automotive standards and engineering practices
• Strong technical background and relevant experience in battery system engineering
• Ability to work under pressure within a short timeline to deliver quality technical proposals
• Understanding of Manufacturing technologies, product creation process, and R&D methods
• Working knowledge of 3DX & MS Office
• Experience in designing automotive parts, tools and jigs
• Understanding of various product technologies
• Understanding battery cell technologies and battery behaviors
