    Autism Resource Provision Teaching Assistant

    Protocol Education are currently working with a lovely school in Tower Hamlets who are looking to recruit several TA's to work in their Autism Resource Provision.

    This is a mainstream Primary school but there is an ARP connected to the school.

    You will work closely with a SEN Teacher and several other TA's to provide excellent support to children in the school with ASD.

    Many of the children you will be working with are non-verbal therefore a knowledge of PECs or Makaton would be beneficial for this role.

    This role is due to start in the summer term and has the potential to be extended into the new academic year.

    £85 - £95 Per day

    Job Duties:

    • Supporting students with autism in a resource provision setting
    • Assisting with educational activities and tasks
    • Implementing individualised education plans (IEPs)
    • Providing emotional and behavioural support
    • Collaborating with teachers and other support staff
    • Monitoring and recording student progress

    Required Qualifications:

    • Experience working with individuals with autism
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a team

    Experience:

    Prior experience in a similar role preferred

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Understanding of autism spectrum disorders
    • Knowledge of educational strategies for students with autism
    • Ability to adapt to individual student needs

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Additional training in autism support
    • First Aid certification
