    Description

This is an exciting time to join Brierley Hill Primary School on its rapid school improvement journey. Governors are looking to appoint a class teacher to join our team from September.

We want to encourage hard working teachers who are committed to improving the life chances of our children. In return you will be welcomed by a friendly and supportive team, happy and enthusiastic children and the chance to develop your career.

We are a one-form entry school for pupils from 3 to 11 years old and have served our local community for many generations. We have high expectations of our pupils and believe that there are no barriers that we cannot overcome for them. We are on a rapid improvement journey, with an exciting new curriculum, growing staff team and professional development opportunities available to all.

You will 'lead from the front' and inspire your classroom team to maximise the potential for each and every one of our children. As part of our ongoing staffing restructure, the location of the role in School will be determined according to your strengths and experience. We are looking to place the best person in the best place for our children. As a team we work collaboratively, supporting each other and as an excellent practitioner you would lead by example for your year group.

We are looking for people who:

    • Are positive and relish the opportunity to make a difference to children's lives

    • Enjoy working work well as part of a team

    • Are flexible and adaptable

    • Work in a creative way to inspire and challenge children

You will be a vital part in making our school:

    • a forward thinking and creative place to work

    • an environment where children's learning and development is at the centre of what we do

    • a place where there is outstanding collaboration and professional development opportunities

    In return we can offer:

    • A vibrant and exciting work environment

    • A friendly, welcoming and supportive team

    • Happy and enthusiastic children who love to learn

    • Working and planning alongside a strong team

    • A creative approach to teaching and learning

If you are ambitious and believe that our children can succeed, if you can embed compassion, pride and respect in your classroom, if you strive for excellence, we would love to hear from you. Visits to the school are warmly welcomed.
