Description

We are seeking a qualified Principal Animal Technician to provide hands-on care for animals in the Zebrafish Unit and other areas of the BRF.

The post holder will ensure high levels of animal welfare, conduct daily routines and procedures, provide technical support to researchers, and carry out administrative duties.


Key attributes of the successful applicant include:

  • Experience in zebrafish technical procedures.
  • Qualifications to MIAT level or equivalent.
  • Procedure Individual Licence.
  • Eligibility to take on the NACWO role and associated responsibilities.
  • Availability and willingness to work Weekends and Bank Holidays.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven record keeping skills.
