    Project Management Intern

    Location: Bournemouth / Hybrid

    Internship date: 1st July to 23rd August 2024

    Salary: £11.50 per hour

    About the Role

    This is an exciting opportunity to join our Colleague Strategy team on an 8-week summer internship, in the role of Assistant Project Manager.

Taking part in our programme will boost your CV and will ensure you have a deep understanding of our business, the industry that we operate in and an insight into our customers.

    This exciting role supports the planning and delivery of a colleague strategy project(s) related to the engagement and development across our operations team. This role enables change and development opportunities for our colleagues, and you will be supported by the Project Manager.

    Responsibilities:

    • Plans and manages specific deliverables within the organisation change and development project.
    • Assists the development of project action plans, process flows and communications materials.
    • Uses information captured to create a digital development toolkit for operational colleagues, presented in a clear and compelling format.
    • Reporting, tracking and other administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the project deliverables.

    Alongside your role, you will be part of a cohort of interns which will instantly enable you to start building your internal network at McCarthy Stone. There will also be a series of Learning & Development opportunities to get involved in throughout your journey with us, including insight and skills sessions and lunch and learns on key business topics.

    You will have the opportunity to work on a group project with interns from across the organisation and present your findings to senior members of the company.

    Please note that you will be required to work from our Bournemouth office on a hybrid basis.

    About You

    Education and Qualifications

    • Studying towards a degree in Business, Management, Project Management, Economics, Marketing, Communications or similar, on target for a minimum of a 2:2.
    • Completed an EPQ, or other extended assessment within your degree, A Level of BTEC course.

    • Communicates clearly, both written and verbally.
    • Organised and works well to deadlines.
    • Able to multitask and prioritise.
    • Shows a good level of attention to detail.
    • Good at building working relationships
    • Has a flexible, positive, and can-do attitude
    • Strong computer literacy and experience in Microsoft Office.
