An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experience band 6 or established band 7 Dietitian to join Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust's new Integrated Community Stroke Service (ICSS).


The ICSS for Sandwell and West Birmingham is due to open in early 2023 and will be able to provide much needed post stroke Rehabilitation for patients in the community setting, allowing them to achieve their potential in a meaningful environment, to maximise their recovery and quality of life.


This is an exciting role at an exciting time for Dietetics, Allied Health Professionals and Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS trust as we seek to become the leading provider of integrated care bringing lots of opportunities for future development.


This post requires both advanced levels of clinical practice and operational management of a team of qualified dietitians to deliver high quality care to this patient population.


Post registration dietetic experience working in dietetics and a genuine interest and enthusiasm to lead as an advanced dietitian within the stroke pathway is essential.

This role is closely integrated with the ICSS and the Nutrition and Dietetics Department which is a growing team of 30; based across Sandwell and West Birmingham.

We have regular departmental meetings, clinical supervision sessions and education meetings. Continuing professional development is promoted and supported.

The Department trains student dietitians from Coventry and Birmingham City Universities across the full range of placements.

There is excellent administrative support, IT facilities and access to modern Trust library facilities.

Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS trust is located near major road and rail networks with easy access to Birmingham. There are a wide range of leisure facilities locally
