    Job Description

    LGIM Real Assets, and the wider Investment Management business of which it is a part, has established a leading position amongst its peer group in taking a progressive and convictional approach to ESG integration.

    We are looking for a Responsible Investment Associate to support the team and drive initiatives to build on the foundations that have been laid to support further step change in our responsible investing approach and integration efforts across the business. The role will support various responsible investment and sustainability initiatives across the LGIM Real Assets business, which covers real estate and infrastructure equity, and private credit.

    Responsible investment & impact management development
  • To contribute to the development and delivery of the key pillars of our responsible investment and impact strategy
  • Engage with key stakeholders across the business to facilitate integration of new and existing initiatives to strengthen ESG integration into the investment process
  • Implement responsible investment processes
    Conduct research and analysis across key responsible investment themes and to ensure the successful delivery of key projects
  • To identify new opportunities and support wider strategy development. Examples include opportunities focused on climate risk and nature-related initiatives, amongst others
    Disclosure and reporting:
  • To lead and support with the preparation and delivery of key reports, including those aligned with our regulatory and internal group requirements such as TCFD, SFDR, SBTI etc
  • This will include data analysis (including carbon reporting) and internal and external stakeholder engagement
  • Enhance climate and sustainability reporting and disclosure processes, ensuring compliance and driving innovation that contributes to positive sustainability outcomes
    Training and knowledge building:
  • Lead and support the development of internal training programmes and workshops to build awareness on key sustainability and climate-related topics
    Qualifications
  • Degree 2:1 or above (preferably in a sustainability/science/engineering subject)
  • Relevant experience (preferably in a consultancy or similar organisation). Real Assets specific experience a bonus.
  • Technical knowledge of climate risk, carbon accounting and other emerging sustainability topics
  • Analytical thinker with attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines across multiple workstreams and deliver high quality outputs within an everchanging landscape
  • Actively nurtures effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure enhanced collaboration and business performance
  • Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams integrating sustainability practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), experience using Python an advantage
