    Group Leader 10+ - Summer Camp - Upminster, London
    Hours of Work: 08:30 – 17:30
    Salary: £547.27 – £628.71 salary per week dependent on age, internal/external experience, and qualifications (February Half Term contracts to be issued on 2023 wage level. 2024 wage level effective from 1st April.)
    Reportable to: Camp Senior Team, Area Manager, and Central Office. Barracudas focus on ensuring the safety and enjoyment of children and young people, expecting all team members to uphold this commitment.
    Group Leader 10+ Duties
    • Set up and maintain an engaging base room area for children, ensuring tidiness and organized equipment storage
    • Implement policies for a safe and fun environment for children in your care
    • Follow the daily activity schedule to deliver promised variety and excitement
    • Plan and execute diverse activities with enthusiasm and structure
    • Provide active supervision and attention to meet children's needs throughout the day
    • Customize activities based on children's interests and ensure participation
    • Collaborate with team members to conduct sessions effectively
    • Take charge of welfare and safety, including equipment usage
    Requirements
    • Prior experience or qualifications in working with secondary school-aged children
    • Minimum age of 18 by contract start date
    • Eligibility to work in the UK
    • Positive attitude, organizational skills, excellent communication, and ability to handle unexpected challenges in childcare
    • Capability to address challenging behaviors and obtain necessary checks and training
    • Attendance at essential training events and activities
    • Assist with camp preparations and closures
    Additional Responsibilities
    • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards
    • Organize age-appropriate activities and supervise children's behavior
    • Adhere to camp procedures and promote child welfare
    • Model healthy habits and report any child protection concerns
    • Accommodate children's needs and collaborate for inclusivity
    • Engage in additional program sessions as needed
    • Support swimming sessions if required
    • Perform various tasks as necessary for organizational goals
