    SEN Teaching Assistant - Full or part-time work available.

    The Suppply Register are delighted to be working in an exclusive partnership with a St Teresa of Calcutta Academy Trust in Bury. We are proud of the relationship we hold with the trust and with this, provide staffing for short, medium and long-term vacancies.

    To support the supply need of the schools within the trust, we are seeking Teaching Assistants (for both their Primary and Secondary schools) who are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

    These school are, St Gabriel's RC High School, St Josephs & Bed RC Primary School, St Ethelbert's RC Primary School and St Gregory's RC Primary School.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Supporting Classroom Activities: Assist the teacher in implementing individualized learning plans and adapting materials to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN.
    2. One-on-One Support: Provide focused support to students with specific learning needs, helping them overcome challenges and achieve academic and personal milestones.
    3. Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to develop and implement effective strategies for supporting students with SEN.
    4. Observation and Reporting: Observe and record student progress, behaviours, and achievements, and communicate this information to the teaching team and parents regularly.
    5. Promoting Inclusivity: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported in their unique learning journeys.
    6. Assistive Technology: Familiarize yourself with and utilize assistive technology and resources to enhance the learning experience for students with SEN.

    Requirements:

    • Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
    • Relevant qualifications or training in Special Education or a related field.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational development of children with SEN.
