2fawcett are delighted to offer a new and exciting opportunity for a Procurement/ Purchasing specialist to join an Independently owned company.

The Business are well established with a combined annual turnover in the region of £500m and still have ambitious growth plans this year, this business prides themselves on providing an encouraging collaborative environment.


Previous experience in a similar role is required, and you will already have knowledge of procurement strategies strong negotiation skills along with the drive to implement new processes.


The role will involve full process of the procurement and supply chain operations, management of suppliers including risk management and auditing, contract pricing and negotiation.


Reporting directly to the CEO the role will be varied with elements of Group event management and providing additional administrative support.


The Role & Responsibilities of the Procurement & Supply Chain Assistant

  • Mitigate, negotiate and control costs to a diverse range of suppliers from Software, IT comms to Motor factors and energy costs
  • Control and monitor outgoing costs
  • Independently negotiate prices with existing suppliers at contract expiry
  • Work closely with the CEO and internal StakeholdersProvide additional support and carry out ad hoc tasks such as event management and administrative duties

Requirements of the Procurement & Supply Chain Assistant

  • Purchasing, Procurement and ERP systems
  • Contract Pricing, trends and data analysis experience
  • Knowledge of procurement strategies
  • Negotiation skills
  • Technical knowledge
  • Excel
  • Openminded and challenging
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to manage multiple activities in parallel but ensuring tasks are closed in a timely mannerAble to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong team player, within Procurement & Supply Chain team and throughout the organisation
