    Description

    Howdens Joinery is looking for an experienced Demand Planner to join our busy commercial business planning department at our site in Howden, East Yorkshire.

    As a FTSE100 business undergoing an exciting period of transformation and growth, this role offers an ambitious and data-focused individual the opportunity to directly impact the capacity and resource planning for manufacturing, logistics, and suppliers.

    As such we are looking for someone who will build effective relationships and confidently articulate the Demand Plan, providing appropriate context information to the supply planning & purchasing teams and demonstrate its accuracy.

    Forecast the expected demand for stock on all Primary Distribution Centres for a chosen group of products as accurately as possible.


    • To build strong relationships with marketing, route to market support, and supply planning, gather relevant management information, and ensure understanding and alignment with the business demand plan.
    • Previous Demand planning experience is required, ideally gained in a Blue Chip, IT Driven, Manufacturing or Retail environment.
    • Good knowledge of IT systems (ideally, SAP APO) for Forecasting, Inventory Management, Planning, and production Scheduling.
    • MS Excel – Intermediate level essential.
