£ per hour depending upon experience

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Nursery Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream primary school of ours based in Northumberland.

This role is a contracted position covering up until the end of the academic year, however there is a very strong possibility that this will extend into the new academic year.

Responsibilities:

Supporting 1:1 a child with Autism during the mornings
Providing general reception class cover in the afternoons
Creating a safe and nurturing learning environment for children
Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons
Providing onetoone support for children with additional needs
Encouraging and promoting positive behavior and attitudes

The requirements for this role are:

GCSE English & Maths
Preferably qualified to an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification
Experience working with children
At least 1 year of in classroom experience
Understanding of classroom procedures and policies
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
