As GIS Technician you will play a key role in the capture and provision of GIS data and mapping information for various water / utility projects throughout the UK.

Based in their Lisburn office you will be joining a leader in their field with the opportunity to commence your GIS career or enhance your existing experience with further opportunities.

Our client is a specialist subcontractor who specialises in no dig engineering services, pipeline investigation and repair in the utility sector.

Due to major contract awards in Scotland they are looking to add a GIS Technician to their team in Lisburn.

As GIS Technician your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

To produce
client reports including surveys, pipe fault coding, recommendations
validation reports
To assist Project Manager on contracts or projects
To support all staff and business processes with the correct technical advice with respect to planning and executing on the ground operations
To assist in creating and maintaining GIS networks, producing maps, validating survey information, delivery of documentation to ClientTo be considered for this role you will have:

Third level qualification in a related discipline such as Geography, GIS, Environmental Engineering or similar.
4-5 years experience in a similar GIS Technician position
Knowledge / Experience of using ArcOnline, QGIS, Microsoft 365
Experience working in the construction industry to include knowledge of underground utilities
