Job Title: Disabled Facilities Grant Manager.

Location: Hybrid role - Northamptonshire office when needed and working from home.

Rate of Pay: £45 per hour Umbrella or £34.62 per hour PAYE.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 37 hours.

Type: Temporary Assignment.

Opus People Solutions are working with North Northamptonshire Council to recruit for a Disabled Facilities Grant Manager.

Main Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing Surveyors (x4) and Grant Support Officers (x3) that deliver Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs) for North Northamptonshire Council, ensuring effective line management arrangements are in place, including undertaking 121s.
To assist with any training and mentoring for the surveyors on site and remotely, as required.
To manage the preparation of grant applications, including financial means testing, contract documentation, including tender analysis that are produced for each DFG.
To apply legislative, regulatory requirements and Council policy in the administration of Disabled Facilities Grants.
To assist with the production of any technical designs, before being issued to tender and to answer all technical questions from the Surveyors.
To authorise all DFG Approvals and Re-Approvals, before being sent to the Interim Strategic Lead for Private Sector Housing, for purchase order approval.
To draft responses to any MP complaints received regarding DFGs.
To undertake any other duties identified as appropriate to the role, for the Interim Strategic Lead for Private Sector Housing.
