An exciting to join the our services client as Finance Business Partner as they continue to invest in growth and achieve their strategic objectives.
Reporting to Financial Controller for FP&A, you will provide Group wide business partnering on costs, overheads, and production of monthly variance analysis reports.
In addition, you will support production of annual and 3-year budgets and month and year end results.This role is all about
- Business Partner costs/overheads; owning the reporting of financial performance for IT and the frontoffice. Understanding the function of these business units, their strategy and how it fits into the wider business strategy.
- Working with relevant business heads and subsidiary Heads to ensure that Revenue and Expenditure is controlled appropriately and reported accurately.
- Preparing management information, including budgets and financial statements on a timely and accurate basis.
- Working with the Business Units to agree robust accruals with substantiating evidence, substantive variances are reported, and where necessary mitigating actions taken to clear variances.
- Understanding, interpreting, and challenging current business performance and practice. Identifying and implementing initiatives to improve process and deliver business performance objectives and commitments.
- Challenging proposed and existing practices (e.g. procedures, policies, strategy) to assist the improvement/development of the business and achievement of business objectives.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining robust performance metric, financial planning, forecasting, and reporting models to effectively communicate performance against targets and objectives.
- Deputising for the FC for Planning, Delivery & Analysis as and when required
Coming from industry, financial services, or accountancy practice, you will be a qualified accountant or be qualified by experience.
You will be able to demonstrate a high level of competence when it comes to developing collaborative relationships with colleagues and business stakeholders.
Developed communication skills are therefore imperative.
You will have strong technical accounting skills and variance analysis experience, coupled with the ability to interpret, and communicate financial performance.
