We are currently working on behalf of a local M&E Building Services Contractor who are looking to recruit for the following position in the South West


Trainee Mechanical Estimator - with College on day release
Office

Location:
North Somerset

Salary circa £20k depending on experience, then additional amount for Car allowance, plus bonus.

Day release to local college to attend Building Services to HNC level.


Brief Description:
Assisting with the pricing of Mechanical packages within construction projects - with values typically between £50k to £1m.


Roles and Responsibilities:
Book on enquiries, and raise subsequent enquiries for equipment and materials

Obtain competitive costs from suppliers and sub-contractors to enable bid submission.

Assist in the preparation and collation of tenders and source pre-project information by a given deadline.

Chase and follow up on submitted tenders.

Provide support and assistance to the Estimating team.

Attend tender and follow up meetings when required

Visit sites to survey projects when required.


Mechanical Estimator Qualifications / Experience:
Ideally Mechanical trade background, or Building services, mechanical or QS qualification would be beneficial.

proficient in all Microsoft Office software.

Ability to work alongside other Mechanical Estimators as well as independently within a busy estimating projects department.
