    Neuro-rehabilitation unit – No rotation

    Contract length:

    We are seeking a full-time clinical fellow to join us in providing high quality medical care within our specialist neuro-rehabilitation in-patient unit, working within an enthusiastic and progressive team.

    This post is fixed term for 24 months in the first instance.

    Gateway are actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatrist to join our team the role will be contributing to the enhancement of the mental health services in the community.

    The Unit comprises a 12-bed active rehabilitation ward, outpatient facilities and therapy departments/facilities and administration offices for the staff.

    The Trust interdisciplinary team comprises medical staff, specialist nurses, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, dietetics, and clinical psychology.

    All the team are involved in providing inpatient, outpatient and community services.
    In patient services for patients with neurological disability

    • Outpatient services for patients with neurological disability
    • Brain Injury Service includes outreach nurse for brain injury.
    • Young Disabled School l Leavers Service- CP, muscular dystrophies, TBI
    • Vocational rehabilitation
    • FRS provides a district specialist service to patients with a range of disabling neurological conditions including brain injury, stroke, degenerative and progressive neurological discases such as multiple sclerosis, Guillain Barre Syndrome or polyneuropathy, non-traumatic spinal cord injury, and neurological tumors.

    The rehabilitation service provides on-sate outpatient facilities within a full range of therapy departments, providing follow-up treatment to patients discharged from the ward and treatment programs to patients referred through the outpatient clinics.

    the flexibility to provide assessment and therapy input to the community where appropriate.
    Medical Degree and board of certification in Psychiatry

    • Specialization or substantial experience in Community Psychiatry
