    Job Advert Role Description

    The post holder will provide secretarial support to the Consultant Psychiatrist and multi-disciplinary teams across two wards. This will regularly include typing, minute taking, audio typing, receiving telephone enquiries, diary and appointment management, managing correspondence, meeting and greeting visitors and other administrative tasks as appropriate.

    The post holder will be required to be proficient in the use of electronic patient record keeping systems, and be able to store and upload, copy, and file records in line with policy and local procedures. They will be required to maintain all standards pertaining to confidentiality and Information Governance in accordance with Company Policies.

    The post holder will be expected to work effectively with colleagues across all departments with a strong focus on the success of the hospital.

    About You:

    Excellent computer and Microsoft office skills and can audio-type.

    Passionate about providing a high quality service to the hospital.

    Good time management skills and be able to recognise importance of enquiries, issues and callers and apply the appropriate prioritisation to ensure the highest level of service at all times.

    Good attention to detail and be able to maintain accuracy

    Experience within an administrative, customer service, clinical or other appropriate background is desirable.

    Experience of working within a team and sharing workload to ensure the department runs effectively.

    Work within existing procedures and processes, however, there will occasionally be the need for more adaptive thinking, particularly when dealing with patients and their families.
