Phillips Grant Associates have the pleasure of assisting this global FMCG business on a sole agency basis to recruit for an Assistant Manager within M&A Accounting, Reporting & Controls.

The position is based within the Group Chief Accountants team and offersa fantastic opportunity to work alongside senior level finance professionals within this organisation and therefore a great chance to progress within the business.

Hybrid working.


Core responsibilities:


  • Supporting the accounting, reporting and controls processes for acquisitions and disposals.
  • Ensuring a sustainable reporting process is embedded in acquired entities, including guiding and working with operating centres and countries to ensure that the transaction is correctly reflected in management and financial reporting.
  • Supporting accurate, timely, consistent and fair presentation of acquisition and disposal measures in Group financial statements, including monitoring of A&D related cost.
  • Lead earnout reviews for our past acquisitions, reviewing forecasts against the business plan
  • Maintain department processes, guidelines resources (including M&A accounting online page and trainings) related to acquisitions and disposals.
  • Participating in the preparation of quarterly results announcements and Annual Report and Accounts.
  • Liaising with advisor's and external auditors.

Person specification:


  • Experience in Operating Centre or Country Finance function.
  • Exposure to project management.
  • Good interpersonal skills to build rapport with various stakeholder.
