    Are you an experienced Social Worker with a passion for supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism? West Berkshire Council is seeking a dedicated Clinical Specialist Social Worker to join our Adult Social Care Service and make a positive impact on the lives of our residents.

    Reporting to the Locality Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing specialist social work expertise within the Learning Disabilities and Autism Team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking assessments and reviews, and providing person-centred support plans
  • Offering expert advice and guidance to colleagues, service users, and their families
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and external partners to ensure coordinated care
  • Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of service improvements
  • To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Qualified Social Worker with HCPC registration
  • Extensive experience in working with individuals with learning disabilities and autism
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practice
  • Ability to effectively assess, plan, and deliver high-quality support
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities
