    Waites Recruitment Consultancy LTD are seeking a Building Surveyor for a well established client based in Newark who is looking for someone experienced to come in and grow within the business on a full time role.

    Building Surveyor Role

    MY CLIENT is a long established multi-disciplinary practice in the East Midlands and Yorkshire regions with a strong emphasis on meeting clients' aspirations through a process of dialogue, thoughtful problem solving and delivering high quality solutions.

    We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Building Surveyor to expand our team in the Newark office.

    The role carries the potential for progression to a senior level in the business for the right candidate.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Working as part of a small Building Surveying team that are involved in a variety of different sectors, including commercial, industrial, education, residential and heritage.


    • Current areas of work include:


    o Small project works, including specification writing, Schedules of work, preparing JCT Contracts and Contract Administration role.

    o Condition reports.

    o Party Wall Awards.

    o Diagnosis and remedy of building defects.

    o Pre-acquisition reports.

    o Preparation of dilapidation reports.

    o Negotiation of dilapidation claims.

    What we're looking for:

    • A degree qualified, Chartered Building Surveyor.
    • Experience in some, or all, of the above aspects of Building Surveying.
    • Minimum 5 years experience.
    • Ability to use AutoCAD desirable, but not essential.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite essential.
    • GoReport software experience desirable, but not essential.
    • Full driving license.
