Location:
Normanton, Wakefield


Salary:
£22,000 - £23,000 DOE


Monday to Friday 8pm - 5pm

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Telemetry Controller on behalf of one of our clients.
To ensure a high quality of service, equipment & installation.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the monitoring of the company telemetry system.
  • Create customer logins and alarm forwarding as required.
  • Monitor incoming alerts and distribute to relevant departments.
  • Ensure alerts are actioned in a timely manner and alarms are reset when issues are resolved.
  • Monitor strategic sets and compile accurate monthly reports.
  • Ensure availability, installation and commissioning of telemetry units to correct specification in line with deliveries and installations.
  • Ensure availability of telemetry units and all electrical ancillaries as far as practicably possible, provide inventory and stock sheet for all Depots.
  • Ensure availability of SIM Cards.
  • Order units and ancillaries from suppliers ensuring best commercial practice.
  • Liaise with Service Managers regarding allocation of labour.
  • Liaise with Service Managers & Supervisors regarding installation and commissioning.
  • Provide support and assist where required with issues/faults both in the depot and on site.
  • Keep system updated, tidy and removal of old equipment.
  • Ensure completion and submission of test sheets to the hire desk and customers where required.
  • Liaise with Service Manager(s) regarding any operational issues and changes.
  • Carry out installations of telemetry units.
  • Safeguard all Company assets; nothing leaves the depot without correct paperwork.
  • Ensure company vehicle or occasional loan vehicle supplied, is kept clean and tidy at all times, serviced within manufacturer's guideline, and ensure any defects are notified to correct parties and rectified in a timely manner.
  • Promote teamwork and cooperation at all times, both within individual depots and right across the entire Group of Companies.
  • Treat all other employees and all our customers professionally and with respect.
  • Always act in the best interests of any of the company, and not to carry out (or fail to carry out) any action that would bring the company into disrepute.
  • Always work in a responsible manner to ensure safe working practices. Follow Health Safety Quality and Environmental guidelines provided by the company currently ISO 9001:14001 and OHSAS 18001 procedures, including all future notifications.
  • Proactively contribute to the company's policy of continuous improvement.
  • Carry out any reasonable adhoc duties requested by your direct Line Manager or the Management Team.

Skills and Qualifications:


  • Experience on generators / plant equipment / heavy engineering (or similar is desired).
  • Confident with IT and computer packages.
  • Strong administration experience.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Good multitasking and organisational ability.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong written communications.
  • GCSE High school or equivalent.
