    CPI are seeking to recruit a Manager to lead the Electronics Engineering Team to help deliver our significant and growing project portfolio across multiple sectors in Electronics and provide solutions to complex technical problems.

    Working within CPI's , based at NETPark, Sedgefield, this role will involve offering innovative solutions at technology area level and to clients, contributing extensively to development and improvement activities, identifying, and addressing future needs of the team in order to deliver on area strategy.

    As the Manager, you will provide high-level technical leadership and expertise and be responsible for your team's technical delivery of projects.

    Key tasks in the Electronics Engineering Manager role will include (but are not limited to the below), please download the job description for full details available on the CPI careers page:

  • To lead design reviews, for electronics and system designs, supporting innovative product development in the HealthTech and MedTech market space.
  • To act as line manager for all direct reports. Conduct performance appraisals and implement personal development planning for the team.
  • To act as technical lead and/​or act as project manager in relevant projects in the portfolio.
  • To provide specific technical support to the Business Development Team relating to proposal/​project development and direct customer engagement.

    The person we are seeking

    To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Be educated to at least Degree level in a Scientific/​Engineering discipline (preferably in Electronics Engineering) or have equivalent experience in Electronics Engineering, preferably having had significant industrial experience.
  • Have significant, demonstrated experience in the development and introduction of new products is essential.
  • Effectively use Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • It would be great if you also had Software and Firmware experience, alongside a working knowledge of ISO , ISO and ISO .

    The ideal candidate for us will be someone who is fully committed to, and actively seek opportunities to develop themselves within this exciting role.

    This role would also suit a Lead/​Chief Engineer with line management experience looking for a step up into line management.
