We are recruiting for a Principal Power Electronics Design Engineer to work with our client a global Japanese company that has been trading for 80 years, they are looking for innovative and motivated engineers to join their design team in Milton Keynes Benefits: Staff bonus Enhanced holiday Pension Life Insurance Income Protection Employee Assistance Programme Hours of work: 8.30am-4.30pm (Monday to Friday) Role details: Participation and leadership of R & D Projects Design 1-30W isolated DC-DC/AC-DC converters focusing on advanced topologies & integrates magnetics Solving complex technical issues Verification testing Design reviews Conception reviews and IP generation Skills & qualifications: Formal qualification in Electronics, Microelectronics, Physics or related discipline (UK degree level) Working experience within the power electronics industry Knowledge of magnetics design for use in power conversion and experience with analogue circuit simulation Desirable experience and skills: MSc or PhD in related discipline Experience with thermal/magnetic simulation using element analysis software Knowledge of planar magnetics and IC packaging technologies
