About the role
We're seeking to recruit some great new
Community Support Workers; people with the right values and positive attitude to work within the
Specialist Support for Younger Adults team - could this be you?


The successful person will help work within the Corby and Kettering area to help support people with physical disabilities living within their own homes.

This will include supporting with personal care, medication, and manual handling.

We are looking for someone who is patient, understanding, and adaptable and have the skills and confidence to support someone with their physical needs.


Shift Pattern:
Part time contract of early shifts between 08:00am to 13:00pm with alternating weekend working. Relief positions also available.

What will you be doing?

Supporting customers with tasks such as personal care, manual handling, medication, booking in and administration, support with fluid and nutrition, finances, and shopping.


Emotionally and practically support customers to help them maintain independent living in their own home according to their care plans.

Assist customer to undertake practical tasks to help maintain their physical wellbeing or improve their living conditions.


Promote independence through the provision of information to customers and through liaison with carers, internal and external agencies to help customers utilise resources in the local community.


Act as a key worker for designated customers and in consultation with other stakeholders to ensure customers are supported by the benefits they are entitled to.

Assist senior officers with ongoing assessments and provide information to update customer care plans


Ensure reasonable care is always taken for the health, safety and welfare of yourself and customers and comply with company policy and procedures and other people's behavioural, physical, social and welfare needs.

About you

We are looking for someone who has a genuine passion to help people to live independently in their own homes.

Previous experience in working with people with physical and learning disabilities is desirable but not essential as training is available for this role.

You must have an interest to work within social care, have great communication skills, a positive outlook and compassion for the people you are supporting.

You must be physically fit and in general well health.

A driving licence is required for this role.

You should treat others with dignity and respect.

The service runs 365 days a year, so flexibility to work bank holidays and weekends is required.
