About the role


We are looking for a technical, experienced and energetic team leader to lead our 3rd line support team, based at our head office in Gateshead.

We're looking for someone who has great technical knowledge, great leadership skills and enjoys taking control of situations.

You will be comfortable developing a team of experienced, highly motivated engineers with a range of skill sets and technical knowledge.

What you will be doing -

  • Supervising, mentoring and developing a team of 3rd Line Engineers.
  • Identifying and addressing underperformance
  • Identifying and managing talent
  • Building and tracking personal development plans for team members
  • Performance reviews
  • Understanding and managing demand and capacity/resource.
  • Setting departmental and personal objectives.
  • Ensuring quality standards are met and improved where required.
  • Develop communication and collaboration with colleagues and customers within the team.
  • Providing technical support to both colleagues and customers to ensure issues are resolved within agreed SLAs.
  • Working collaboratively with stakeholders to develop technical solutions for customers and ensuring these are fit for purpose.

You will suit the role if you have -

  • Demonstrable knowledge or experience in Technical Support, Service Desk and/ or IT Team Leader roles.
  • Experience working with IT infrastructure including, Virtualisation (products such as VMware and Hyper-V), Cloud (products such as Azure and Office 365), Networking both LAN and WAN (routing and switching), Microsoft products and Storage.
  • Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting skills to act as an escalation point for Engineers.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers at all levels.
  • Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills to manage and prioritise own tasks and service desk issues to manage a diverse workload, exceed customer expectations and deliver results within agreed SLAs.

Salary
£40,000k to £60,000k per annum (depending on experience)

Location and Working Arrangements
You will be based at Aspire's Gateshead Head Office with travel as required.


Hours of Work
Full time (37.5 hours per week), Monday to Friday
