To deliver a quality service to our stakeholders across the company in line with their requirements, by working with the other Finance teams and applying ISG culture, systems, and procedures.
Support the Senior Financial Accountant and Finance Business Partners with all monthly accounting, including calculations for accounting entries, posting to the eVision ledgers and uploads to the OneStream consolidation system.
Support Finance business partners and assist them for reviewing and posting journals to relevant projects/overhead as per the defined ISG policy.
Ensuring compliance with IFRS16 lease accounting standards as an integral part of job responsibilities. Production of balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring all reconciliations are RAG rated. Investigating reconciling differences through to resolution in accordance with agreed schedule and regular review with business unit finance team.Acting as the lead on all intercompany recharges and subsequent reconciliations within the team, and within the group.
This involves working with an array of stakeholders from around the company to ensure this process is smooth and effective, as well as managing the compliance of intercompany transactions including where applicable arm's length accounting.
Reconciling these balances on a monthly basis to ensure all accounts are accurately stated; working with commercial business units to ensure accuracy.
Tax~ Produce accurate monthly VAT analysis and review with the ISG Head of Tax to ensure quarterly reporting to HMRC is correct and VAT accounts are reconciled.
Produce the weekly (12 week look ahead) cashflow forecast and review with the Senior Financial Accountant.
Assist the Senior Financial Accountant with all year-end reporting requirements, including Audit Packs, P13 adjustments, stat packs, statutory accounts, tax packs and audit queries.
Completion of surveys for the Office for National Statistics.Other ad-hoc activities as required by the Senior Financial Accountant and Head of Reporting.
Recently qualified accountant, (ACA/CIMA/ACCA), or final exam stage part qualified accountant with a desire to continue active study
Experience in construction industry or other project based industry advantageous
Strong technical accounting skills are preferred but desire to learn these skills is a must.
