Assistant Finance Manager - Based in Essex (Wickford) - Salary 28-35kpa (doe) - Perm

  • Process all purchase invoices and credit notes.
  • Matching all invoices against purchase orders where raised and delivery notes
  • Obtain authorisation from appropriate approvers when required.
  • Correct Nominal Ledger codes.
  • Resolve any queries both internally and externally to ensure invoices are paid /queried in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile Supplier Statements each month.
  • Prepare weekly payment plan for Bacs runs and confirm approval.
  • Post Direct Debits / Standing Orders and other manual payments onto the Purchase Ledger.
  • Ensure that cash allocations balance to both Cash Books and Nominal Ledger.
  • Produce month end reports, reconcile to the Nominal Ledger and close Purchase Ledgers in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain a tidy ledger clearing off small adhoc differences and chasing up historical or 'on hold' amounts.
