We are looking for an experienced, motivated clinician to join our team. You will be a registered Physiotherapist with demonstrable expertise in goal focused rehabilitation, supporting patients to become experts in their own care and to remain in their own homes.

It is expected that you will have excellent communication skills, enjoy working with a variety of service users of different age groups, have good self management skills and an ability to prioritise your case load. You should ideally have experience of working in a variety of clinical settings with knowledge of the challenges of community working.

It is essential that you are a car driver with access to a vehicle for work as you will be expected to travel across the North East Essex area.

    Main duties of the job

The key objectives for this post are to provide goal focused rehabilitation, supporting patients to become experts in their own care and to remain in their own homes by providing holistic assessments and interventions for this care group.

As a Senior Physiotherapist you will have opportunity to undertake a leadership role in planning, co-coordinating, delivering and evaluating the rehabilitation provided and be responsible for the supervision of junior staff.

You will be able to demonstrate the ability to build networks and relationships over a number of sites and different clinical teams. You will embrace innovation and integrated working and will be committed to delivering excellence in care alongside other Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Technical Instructors and Assistant Practitioners.

    Working for our organisation

We are ESNEFT and we provide hospital and community health services to almost one million people across east Suffolk and north Essex. Our dedicated staff deliver care from acute hospitals in Colchester and Ipswich, community hospitals, surgeries, community clinics and in patients' own homes.

We are one of the largest NHS organisations in England, employing more than 12,000 staff.

We pride ourselves on supporting our staff. We offer a wide range of training and development opportunities, as well as flexible working options.

Along with supporting you to achieve your career goals we offer a generous pension scheme, unsocial hours payments (where applicable), 27 days annual leave on commencement (pro rata) and access to a range of NHS discounts. Our Staff Health and Wellbeing programme offer a variety of services.

Our philosophy is that Time Matters to everyone. Across the Trust, we concentrate on improving the things we do and removing those which cause time delays for our staff and patients.

We are investing in our commitment to Time Matters with a partnership with leading electronic patient record (EPR) supplier Epic. This digital transformation will bring what's widely regarded as the world's best EPR system to ESNEFT, transforming life in hospital for staff and patients.

If you are passionate about patient care and want to develop your skills and knowledge, then we want to hear from you.
