    Term time 37 hours (start at 8.00am daily) Harrow Gate Primary Academy are looking to appoint an EYFS Teaching Assistant to support children working in a nurturing and vibrant Early Years provision. Our academy is part of the Enquire Learning Trust, a large and supportive family of successful primary schools based across the North of England. We are situated on a large housing development in the north of Stockton-On-Tees and have a high proportion of children eligible for the Pupil Premium and children with a range of complex and additional needs. You will work as an enthusiastic, effective member of an early years team supporting and nurturing children, and creating stimulating learning opportunities that deliver a high quality child centred early years provision, which meets the needs of our youngest children and their families. You will be an innovative educator who will work in partnership with others. Our school ethos is centred on children achieving well and enjoy their learning, where relationships are at the centre of all they do. To achieve this, it is essential that all adults create an atmosphere where all children feel valued and safe, where life chances for all children are improved and where children take with them the ability to form meaningful and caring relationships into their adult life. We want to hear from Teaching Assistants who are motivated and willing to go above and beyond to improve the lives of the children in our care. Excellent classroom skills, the right motivation, resilience and a willingness to learn are important elements in our Harrow Gate family. We are a school who promotes learning outdoors, and this is central to the EYFS curriculum offer. We want teaching assistants who will pull their wellies on and jump in the puddles.
    We are looking for someone who:

    •Can communicate effectively and work in a team environment

    •Is patient, calm and has a good sense of humour

    •Is committed to using a relational approach with all children.

    •Has the ability to be flexible.

    •Demonstrate high expectations of positive behaviours for learning

    •Has experience of working with Nursery and Reception age children, in an educational environment.

    •Has a good understanding of early child development.

    •Ensure the safety and dignity of all learners, especially those who require toileting and incontinence management.

    •Has a sound knowledge of the daily expectations of working with children in a EYFS classroom to ensure high quality learning for all.

    •Experience of implementing a early reading and phonic scheme.

    •Has sound knowledge of SEND and experience of working with SEND children (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, moderate learning difficulties, specific learning difficulties, sensory processing difficulties)

    •Can work under the guidance of the class teacher and ensure designated activities are achieved to a high standard.

    •Is organised and can support in the development and maintenance of appropriate planning, observation, and assessment procedures.

    •Provide targeted support to enhance learning for children with a range of needs: SEMH, dyslexia, dyspraxia, sensory, social interaction and communication difficulties.

    •Has sound knowledge of the curriculum and can bring creativity to the role

    •Has at least grade C in GCSE in Maths and English and Level 3 Teaching assistant qualification

    •Has a commitment to supporting all children to reach their potential
