The role encompasses Share Plans, Shareholder Services and Share Dealing. The work is split into three areas with often busy and overlapping stakeholders and deadlines.

As the Assistant Share Plan Manager, you will be responsible for providing support to the administration of the company's discretionary and employee share plans with the objective of ensuring that all plans are administered adhering to the relevant plan rules,procedures, guidelines, policies and regulatory requirements.

You will assist the Share Plans Manager with the delivery a first-class share plan service over 19 countries, and over seven M&G plans and five legacy Prudential plans which are in run out currently, together with the bi-annual grant of Awards.

You would provideexcellent technical support and guidance to current and former employees across the business and ensure efficient and effective day to day delivery of share plan process activities, legal requirements and detailed record keeping whilst continuously seekingto improve and challenge processes.

You will be required to assist with the management and maintenance of the shareholder register, including the running of the Annual General Meeting, bi-annual dividends, shareholder mailings, company website maintenance, and processing ad hoc legal/regulatoryrequests.

You will be liaising with our external providers and seeking to maintain a high level of governance and strategic planning for our shareholders.

Finally, the role will include, under supervision, the management of the Company's Inside Information Policy, the Share Dealing Rules and management of the Insider List process.

Bi-annual maintenance of the Restricted and Financial Reporting Employee lists,notifications of close periods and managing the permission to deal process are integral parts of the role, together with any relevant Stock Exchange Announcements and FCA filings as and when required.


Experience statements:


  • Ideally previous share plan, shareholder services and share dealing experience to include detailed understanding and experience in all employee and discretionary share plan administration, and the legislation and regulatory framework that governs shareplans;
  • Excellent communication skills with experience communicating with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including independent nonexecutives;
  • Relevant experience of executive compensation and stock plan administration;
  • Experience with equity/share based LTI program (design, communication, operational delivery, vendor management);
  • Able to navigate/being knowledgeable in other support areas like Treasury, Accounting, Investor Relations, corporate legal and Financial markets;
  • Ideally experience working in a FTSE/Financial Services secretariat; and
  • Strong technical IT skills and ideally good working knowledge of the Morgan Stanley at Work Shareworks Portal and the Equiniti Employee Share Plan Portal. Prior use of Cytec would also be an advantage for Insider List Management.

  • Highly organised and able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks;
  • Proactive approach, with willingness and adaptability to pick up and run with new challenges. We are a transforming organisation. We need team players who are willing to contribute to knowhow (process notes and records), able to prioritise work and workwell under pressure, collaborate with the business and be changemakers as we develop into a goldstandard company secretariat function;
  • Be able to manage and delegate and oversee work processes and key tasks to junior team members;
  • Strong IT skills (proficient with Excel to advanced level preferred) and excellent communication skills with a high attention to detail and problem solving skills; and
  • Being proactive on owning executive share plans processes, liaising with company Secretariat to ensure delivery to a high standard.

Qualifications:


Ideally a Certificate in Share Plan Management, or someone who is currently performing Share Plan Administration, working towards the Share Plan Management Certificate or towards the Chartered Governance Qualifying Programme.
