    About the role

    This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of the Research & Open Scholarship team in the Library, supporting researchers across the University in making their work openly available and accessible to all.

    As the Open Access Librarian, you will provide operational management of the Library's OA publishing services, managing a small team who administer our UKRI & Wellcome Trust block grants, facilitate use of multiple publishing agreements, and deliver training & guidance on all aspects of OA, from the wider benefits of Open Research to funder policy and requirements for REF2029.

    You will manage the Institutional Repository (Figshare) and CRIS (Elements) systems and provide guidance & support on deposit and publication management.

    Working within the Research & Open Scholarship team, you will help manage a dynamic and enthusiastic service that supports researchers across Schools & disciplines, contributing to the institution's commitment to Open Research and a better, more inclusive approach to Research Culture.

    About you

    We are looking for a dedicated and motivated individual with a good understanding of the OA landscape and an awareness of the current environment in Higher Education, including a working understanding of Open Research, its challenges and opportunities.

    You will have keen attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and the interpersonal skills to manage a small team in a busy, complex environment. You will be able to effectively manage your own time & workload, communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, and demonstrate the ability to develop & enhance the team's service to the research community.
