    Outside IR35 – £400-450

    Immediate initial 6-month contract for an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering implementations in a dynamic and changing organisation.

    You will join a team managing a critical business application development project, so extensive project management experience is essential.

    Reporting to the Programme Director, within a matrix organisation, this role will manage a project team of internal and external people to ensure all activity is aligned with the Programme Plan and needs of the business, meeting quality, cost, and time criteria, in a culturally sensitive manner. It should be noted that this project is already in flight.

    A key element the successful person will require, is the ability to determine potential challenges and probable solutions in conjunction with the Head of PMS Programme.

    Responsibilities:

    The Project Manager, working with the Head of PMS Programme, will be responsible for the successful delivery of the programme.

    Demonstrating effective management of the programme's deliverables and oversight of any risks and issues arising.

    • Lead project activities
    • Planning and designing the programme, proactively monitoring progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action
    • Develop and implement project delivery strategies
    • Manage change
    • Identify risks
    • Ensuring compliance with the programme's governance arrangements
    • Delivering effective quality assurance and overall integrity of the programme

    Providing quality and timely outcomes to the business, you will, working closely with the PMO:

    • Ensure the Project objectives are understood by all stakeholders and produce Plans that track progress against the critical success factors to deliver those objectives.
    • Set and manage priorities for the project teams.
    • Keep the team motivated by setting realistic targets, personally establishing positive relationships, and resolving conflicts by handling queries and issues in a calm, professional and positive way
    • Manage all key risks and issues by ensuring key project delivery and business resources are focused on the activity needed to remove blockers.
    • Reporting the progress of the programme at regular intervals to both Programme Director and the Steering Group. Produce reports including status updates on delivery milestones, decisions and approvals needed, issues and risks arising from the performance of the projects and recommendations for changes.

    Experience required:

    • Extensive Project Management experience, with experience in Healthcare, NHS or similar.
    • Participate and facilitate communication between employees, management, vendors, and other resources within the organisation
    • Ability to analyse and resolve complex issues, both logical and interpersonal.
    • Effective verbal and written communications skills
    • Ability to negotiate and defuse conflict
    • Self-motivator, independent, cooperative, flexible, creative, resilient, determined
