Responsibilities

As an Investment Analyst you will need to have some knowledge in researching and understanding the financial markets, the fund universe, tax wrappers, platforms, and providers, and be able to communicate this information to others.
The Investment Analyst will help to undertake and deliver research information to support and assist the Investment Management team in analysing funds.

Principal types of investment research and analysis will include:

OEICS and Unit Trusts
Investment Trusts
ETFs
Model Portfolios (discretionary) and DFMs
Life Assurance Companies
Life and Pension funds
Platforms
You will be involved in a broad range of activities and disciplines, which vary according to the nature of the research topic and focus.
You will assist the Investment Director to enhance the IP Model Portfolios by way of proactive fund research and analysis and present the research in formal reports that can be presented to the network Investment Committee.

Requirements:

IMC holder or interest/willingness to work towards the qualification.
A minimum of 2 years' experience working in investment analysis or similar.
Attention to detail.
Competent in MS Office.
The ability to interpret performance metrics and effectively communicate these to Senior Management.
Good Excel skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team; however, even more importantly is the willingness to adopt a flexible approach to the work undertaken.
Demonstrate commitment by efficient/timely completion of work.
Carry out duties and responsibilities in compliance with health and safety policies and statutory regulations.
Maintain high standards of personal accountability.
Willingness to undertake training and progress personal development.
A confident individual possessing a sound systematic and methodical approach to work while under pressure is essential.
The ability to communicate at all levels.
Customer focused.
Have a passion for investments.
