UE03 £21,978 to £22,681 per annum (A revised salary range for this grade of £22,214 to £24,248 is planned to take effect from Spring 2024)

College of Science and Engineering, School of Engineering

Full Time 35 hours per week, however, we are open to considering part-time (Minimum 28 hours)

Contract type - Fixed Term (12 weeks, commencing 3rd June 2024)
**Location of internship - remote working with some visits to campus as required

**The Opportunity: As Placement accessibility intern you will be a student interested in accessibility and learning through work experience. You will be willing to investigate gaps in placement accessibility and find action-based recommendations to help address these gaps.


You will spend the summer identifying barriers to placement opportunities and look at how look at how these barriers affects student decision making when it comes to placements.

You will look at how we can help address those gaps through the design and roll out of a survey.

This internship is part of the on Campus programme which is run by the Careers Service in collaboration with University departments and Schools.

It offers exclusive summer internships at the University over the summer for 2nd year to penultimate-year undergraduate students from the University of Edinburgh based in the UK.

You cannot take part if you are a visiting student, or you have already taken part in the programme before.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Ability to actively listen to people's viewpoints and report them with accuracy and synthesis
  • Sensitivity and awareness of the diversity of our student cohort.
  • Experience of analysis of quantitative and qualitative information
  • Reliable with excellent timemanagement and organisational skills
  • IT skills eg. Microsoft Office suite, Excel etc
