Responsibilities
As Planning Team Leader you'll be working within the planning team, supporting the with planning and management of the work and workforce of both internal and external operations and ensuring we are complying with all corporate procedures.
Your day to day will include:
- Managing performance, training, competency and developing the highways planning team, supporting the Planning Manager and providing regular reports as required
- Producing detailed works handovers
- Communicating between highways planning and delivery teams to ensure jobs are planned correctly first time and costing effectively
- Liaising with third parties, members of the public, key stakeholders and promoting collaborative working so the team are optimising network occupancy
- Assessing plant and material needs for works, ordering any special materials required, undertaking risk assessments & safety checks, toolbox talks and audits, reviewing daily productivity targets to ensure wea re managing budgets effectively
